Principal's Message

Dear Liberty Families,

I am honored to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new principal at Liberty Elementary! I came to visit towards the end of the school year, and had a chance to meet some of our amazing students. Liberty is a special building that is a great place for students to learn and grow. I’m excited to walk alongside you!

For the past two years, I have served as an assistant principal at Mishawaka High School. Prior to that, I spent 5 years as an assistant principal at Northridge High School and 7 years teaching Spanish (most recently at Mishawaka Marian). I love working for School City of Mishawaka and am ecstatic to have this opportunity to work with your families.

At LES, my goal is to build upon and continue the existing culture of excellence and achievement, and to work collaboratively with our exceptional staff to provide an enriching educational experience for all students. I believe in fostering a positive school culture that celebrates student success in all areas, promotes positive citizenship, and values the unique talents and contributions of every individual.

Open communication and collaboration are key to student success, and I warmly invite parents and guardians to actively participate in their child’s education. Throughout the school year, you can expect regular updates on important events, academic achievements, and extracurricular activities through newsletters, emails, and ParentSquare. Your involvement is important, and I encourage you to attend school activities and events. In this newsletter, you’ll find information about upcoming events.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or simply want to introduce yourself. I look forward to working with you this year!

Sincerely,

Kristin Wells
